Why foster?
- When a dog is saved from the shelter, it opens up a space for another dog in need of help. Fostering saves the lives of two dogs and supports the community in their efforts to help save other dogs.
- Fostering helps allow rescues to show the dog at their best for potential transport or adoption. Some dogs do not do well in the shelter environment, so getting them out and in a safe, loving home allows them to be their best self or learn who their best self is.
- The look on your foster’s face will say it all as they enjoy their ‘freedom ride’ and begin their journey to find their furever home.
- You may find your furever family member! When you foster a dog, you will get the first opportunity to adopt the dog. It’s called ‘foster fail’, but it’s actually a ‘foster win’ for both you and the dog!
- If you love dogs, but you are not quite ready for a full-time commitment, fostering is a great way to enjoy the love and companionship of a dog.
- The memories you create will last a lifetime for both you and your foster!
